Moxy was founded in 2022 with a vision to address three opportunities:

  • Providing consistent labour resources in a tight labour market

  • A lack of cleaning companies with the ability to scale

  • An absence of a consolidated service offering that removes management pains for resort managers and hosts

We have since grown to be the largest provider of Accommodation Cleaning Services on the Sunshine Coast with more than 200 properties under contract for cleaning and linen hire, as well as multiple resort operations.

We focus on our employees as much as our customers and therefore build a solid & high-performing team, while relentlessly focussing on service and making it easy to do business with us.

    Soenke Weiss

    CEO

    Soenke founded Optii Solutions in Brisbane, developing AI software that improves hotel housekeeping profitability.

    Now based in Austin, Texas, it serves major hotel chains globally and was acquired by MCR Corporation in 2021.

    With a master’s in Marketing & Finance, Soenke focuses on helping local businesses tackle challenges from labor shortages.

  • Catherine Sinclair

    Catherine Sinclair

    STR Operations Manager

    Catherine brings extensive hospitality management experience, including leadership roles at prestigious Melbourne boutique hotels, TFE Hotel Group, and Crown Towers. Internationally, she managed major hotel operations in Kansas City, USA.

    Catherine leads the STR team at Moxy, where she oversees daily operations and ensures the seamless delivery of the company’s service promise.

    Group Housekeeping Operations Manager

    Mark Anthony Garcia is an accomplished Executive Housekeeping Manager with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams across major hotels in Australia. Dedicated to delivering flawless guest experiences, Mark specializes in operational excellence, staff development, and maintaining pristine room standards.

    Drawing on his extensive industry expertise, he guides Moxy’s resort housekeeping departments, ensuring every room meets the highest quality benchmarks.

    Maritza Barbosa is a dedicated Human Resources professional with a diverse international career spanning South America and Australia. Bringing extensive experience from global manufacturing companies to agile small businesses, she now drives Moxy’s recruitment & talent development strategy.

    Maritza focuses on talent acquisition, leveraging her cross-cultural expertise to ensure Moxy consistently maintains the robust staffing levels required to flawlessly deliver on its service promise and operational excellence.
